About the incubator

IEFF – Figueira da Foz Business Incubator – Association for Business Development, is a private non-profit association, established on November 26 of 2002 with the purpose of creating and managing a Technology-based Business Incubation Center or services. In 2017, as a result of the specialization project, the Sea & Industry Incubator was officially presented, and aims to combine efforts to boost entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer for Blue Economy, taking into account the strategic potential of this natural resource 

Goals

 The Sea & Industry Incubator combines the maritime and industrial aspects having the mission of contributing to the development, dynamization and rejuvenation of the business reality of the municipality of Figueira da Foz and the region where it is located, by supporting the establishment, installation and development of technology-based and/or industrial entrepreneurial projects associated with dynamic sectors of the blue economy, providing them with adequate technical and physical conditions for their development and sustainable growth.

ACIFF - Commercial and Industrial Association of Figueira da Foz, is a business association that covers the whole region, and the promotion of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship is a pillar of the association's performance. It is the main driver of the activity of the Incubator.

CÂMARA MUNICIPAL DA FIGUEIRA DA FOZ

Câmara Municipal da Figueira da Foz has always been following the Figueira da Foz Incubator project, providing the municipal saltworks with the objective of promoting the incubation of companies associated with the economy of the sea.

UNIVERSITY OF COIMBRA

University of Coimbra installed in the Incubator an advanced laboratory of the Polo de Coimbra MARE, designated by Marefoz, whose purpose isto support the sustainable development and technological innovation ofcompanies and the activities of the municipality and the Incubator.
